Tate’s journey into the world of dance began at the tender age of six, when she started taking ballet lessons. Tate’s family moved to Oman when she was four, where she attended The American International School Muscat (TAISM). Upon returning to Calgary, she continued her dance training at YYC Dance Project and the School of Alberta Ballet.

Tate first gained widespread recognition as the first Canadian finalist on the American reality TV show So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation in 2016. In 2017, Tate released her debut song, “One Day,” which caught the attention of RCA Records.
